Traveling on the Denver stage, Bart Maverick (Jack Kelly) meets Laura Nelson (Suzanne) whose fiancé mysteriously disappeared on his way to San Francisco several months earlier. Bart, Laura and the other passengers spend the night at the stage station in Oblivion which is operated by Nero and Verna Lyme (Virginia Christine and Rayford Barnes). The Lymes sniff out wealthy passengers and kill them for their money. Bart and Laura fear for their lives after they discover the Lymes murdered Laura's fiancé.
